Value Statement

INTERFILM and KUKI see themselves as open spaces that welcome people to be creative together, to experiment, to learn from one another, and to be inspired. To enjoy this collective experience and to ensure a safer atmosphere, we look out for each other. All points of our Code of Conduct apply to all festival participants, to all members of the festival teams, as well as to all employees and partners. Together, we aim to create an inclusive, non-discriminatory, and non-judgmental space in which everyone feels welcome and respected – and it is the shared responsibility of everyone at the festival, including the team, partners, and participants. Take care of yourself and others. Respect boundaries, and ask questions if you do not understand something. We pursue a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to violations of the Safer Space.

Breaches of the Code of Conduct – such as ableism, ageism, anti-Muslim hatred, antisemitism, discrimination against LGBTQIA+ individuals, classism, racism, sexism, or any other form of physical or verbal violence – will be investigated and may lead to exclusion from the event.

Keeping these values alive during the festival is something we can only achieve together. It means staying aware, reflecting on our actions, and looking out for one another. We’re always learning, open to feedback, and ready to adapt if something can be improved. So if anything feels unclear, uncomfortable, or inspiring to share – come talk to us. Let’s make this festival a space where everyone feels safe, respected, and free to create, explore, and have fun.
